Join us! For Netflix and Chill watch-party and discussion of the Netflix film “Descendant”. This is a time for casual networking and real estate Q&A. Movie concessions will be included!
The film we are screening brings forth the story of the ship’s captives and children as they grapple with a growing spotlight on their community following the discovery of the sunken Clotilda. We will see how events that unfolded more than a century ago continue to have lasting repercussions several generations later. This film gives a deep look at our country’s nuanced zoning practices and regulation housing policies that have evolved over time to meet federal guidelines, yet still contribute to racial disparity.
